Barco: A Premium AV Brand

Originally established as Belgian American Radio Corporation in 1934, the Belgian company’s founder, Lucien de Puydt, initially assembled radios from components he imported from the U.S. Over the years, the company pioneered many technologies, including the multi-standard TV, Europe’s first color TV, CRT projectors for airplanes, and more.

Today, they focus on digital imaging and projection technology, specifically in entertainment, healthcare, and enterprise markets. The company has positioned itself as a premium brand—their hardware is often found in professional settings, such as large-scale entertainment events, control rooms, and movie theaters.

Although Barco video conferencing equipment tends to sit in a higher price bracket compared to other AV brands, you absolutely get what you pay for. This hardware is designed for users who demand unparalleled dependability, performance, and build quality, as well as cutting-edge technologies. Invest in the best!

FAQs

What is ClickShare?

ClickShare is a game-changing technology that lets users share content and screens from mobile devices and laptops with the click of a button. It provides a frictionless collaboration experience that significantly improves efficiency and productivity during meetings.

How does ClickShare work?

The ClickShare system uses a base receiver and ClickShare Buttons that connect to devices via USB. When you need to share content, simply click the ClickShare Button (or the ClickShare app), and it will wirelessly share the content to the main display.

Is Barco AV hardware compatible with my video conferencing platform?

Barco video conferencing equipment can be used with all major video conferencing platforms, including Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and more.

Will ClickShare work with my device?

What is ClickShare CX?

ClickShare CX is Barco’s Conference series. While the standard ClickShare series is for sharing content to a main meeting room screen, the Conference series connects to the complete video conferencing system, including cameras, microphones, and speakers. This allows you to use ClickShare Buttons to instantly initiate and end video calls.

Do I need the ClickShare app to use Barco video conferencing equipment?

You will need to download the ClickShare app when using mobile devices. When using laptops, connecting the ClickShare Button will open a ClickShare drive with the ClickShare program. Simply open the program to get started. Barco also offers a dedicated ClickShare Desktop App.

How do I troubleshoot Barco AV hardware?

If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the Barco troubleshooting guide, we’re happy to provide ongoing technical support as needed, so feel free to give us a call if you need help with your Barco video conferencing equipment.

The ClickShare system uses LED lights to signal when an issue arises. Here’s a quick guide to their meanings:

  • LED is off: Try connecting the ClickShare eButton to a different device. If it works, the problem is likely with the original device’s port. If it still won’t light up, the unit may be defective or broken.
  • LED is blinking: The ClickShare Button can’t open the ClickShare App. This could be due to access restrictions set by your IT team or interference from antivirus software.
  • LED is spinning: The ClickShare Button can’t pair with the receiver, most likely due to a network connectivity issue.
